Wall of Solitude
A tool for reacquiring a semblance of space in one's life.
The wall of solitude is essentially an ability/excuse to cut the random noise out of life by concentrating on a particular task to the exclusion of all else.
Often combined with cooking or another 'helpful' household chore and generally involving listening to music/radio as a further dampening device.
The wall of solitude must produce a useful or needed output and hence contribute to the greater good whilst at the same time providing space and spiritual tranquility for whoever is executing it.
It is the acceptable face of retreating to a shed.
